The Maximus is a clever design with purpose. The Maximus is an out the front knife that partially retracts into its own handle when sheathed. As you pull the knife out of the shortened, hard plastic sheath the blade extends and locks into place. When returning the knife to its sheath a thumb plunge on the handle unlocks the tanto blade. It's a tactical streamlined knife with a full-sized blade.
